Difference Between Brokers and Investment Advisors

Many athletes today use broker-dealers, or commonly known as 'stockbrokers' or 'brokers.' Brokers, by definition, are 'in the business of buying and selling securities on behalf of their customers.'

Brokers often make money based on how often they trade, NOT how well they trade. So even if your assets do not appreciate, the brokers can still profit! It can be in their interest to make trades even if your assets don’t grow!

AMP only trades for its clients and its own partners because it is in both our best interests. AMP only trades when we believe it makes financial sense for you – we never earn a commission.
